Trees Are Treasure. Loquats are symbolic of wealth and luck, and I feel both of these when I see how generously our loquat trees share their gifts. If you’ve never seen a loquat, its all good – I hadn’t seen one until we discovered them in the yard!

This painting exudes gold, both in the silhouettes of leaves on the frame and in richly textured paint on the fruits. I wanted this piece to invite a three-dimensional pop, as if we are looking through the leaves in real life. Here is a video that shows some of the fruit details and gold shimmer.
