Desert Bells, 4.75″ round, oil

I’ve wanted to paint the breathtaking blooms of the yucca plant in our yard for years. And I’m so happy with how this turned out! A moment in time, focused by the round format. The circle itself is constructed from old scratched music CDs, adhered together, paper mached, and then gesso-ed and sealed for painting oil. Within this round painting, there is literally music and a new purpose.

Note, this is a small piece, the size of a music CD: about 4.75 inches in diameter.
